Formerly Optimal Hospice Foundation

About the Foundation

Since 1979 the Optimal Hospice Foundation has been committed to our Mission to ensure hospice care and other compassionate programs are available for families facing a life-limiting illness. Programs include outreach & education, hospice care funding for the uninsured and bereavement support including an annual Kids Camp for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. To fulfill this Mission the Foundation has partnered with Optimal Hospice Care. In 2018, Optimal Hospice Care was purchased by Bristol Hospice and in October of this year all Optimal locations changed their name to Bristol Hospice.

To reflect our continued partnership we are excited to announce that on January 1, 2021 the Optimal Hospice Foundation changed its name to Bristol Hospice Foundation of CA. We will continue to fulfill our Mission, programs, services and events with same team of staff and volunteers. This change allows us to grow and serve more families as we will partner with all California Bristol locations, growing from 8 community office locations to 19.

Thank you 2023 Kids Camp Supporters

The Foundation would like to thank all of our sponsors, donors and volunteers who helped make our 2023 camps a huge success. With your help a record 195 children from the Central Valley were able to be with other kids who, as they say, ” are just like me.” We had lots of smiles, new friendships were formed and coping skills were discussed and learned. Pictures are posted on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/bristolhospicefoundationofcalifornia. Additional photos from each session will be posted to our photo gallery soon.

Referrals for 2024 are already being accepted using the form on the Kids Camp page.
